History
OpenRevolution was founded in 2008 to drive innovations with mobile technology. We have worked in over 25 countries across five continents providing organizations in the regulatory, banking, telecommunications, retail, and financial sectors with a variety of solutions ranging from advisory services to fully deployed mCommerce platforms.
Advisory Services
OpenRevolution helps clients and partners apply mobile innovation to financial services, health, education, loyalty and advertising, value chains, and government services. OpenRevolution assesses market opportunities for mobile solutions and mobile related data analytics and provides end-to-end support for mobile deployments, from technology and product, through regulation, ecosystem design, integrations, marketing, and education. Through this support, OpenRevolution helps clients and partners pioneer mobile engagement and become ‘digital commerce ready.’
Platform Solutions
OpenRevolution created and deployed MoBI. This comprehensive transactional mobile money system features stored value mobile wallets, flexible account relationship linkages and configurable general ledger integration for partner institutions. The MoBI Platform was designed to deliver quick, easy, efficient, and uninterrupted service to all stakeholders in a mobile payment ecosystem including consumers, merchants, cash agents, corporations, mobile network operators, billers, and financial institutions. In one deployment it was used to power a mobile payment ecosystem which quickly acquired 20% of the addressable population as customers and the largest merchant acceptance locations in force (LIF) in the country.
